Calicantus is a flower. Our calicantus is centenary, but every January it flowers beautifully
in our garden.
And gave the name to our lovely nineteenth century villa in Milan.
I was born in Casa Calicantus.
I experienced the passion and care of my mother for the house. She took care of all decorations.
The coffered ceiling, the fireplaces (five, all still in use), arches and niches, the antique doors.
And branches of Calicantus, always scented the house.
The House was built by an officer of the Cavalry Regiment, whose Headquarters were just in front.
My father bought the house in 1953, when the horses were still there. And, funny but true, my mother
was tempted not to merry him anymore! Luckily the horses were moved away, and the House became the heart of my family life since then.
My wife Rossana and I started the B&B Casa Calicantus to share the House with our guests.
We offer six rooms. Some are traditionally decorated and other more modern. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, in the way of Milan.
The best for your stay in Milan.
We have plans and dreams.
Casa Calicantus is a perfect place to enrich and surprise.
Arrivederci!
